Walking GREEN Inaugural GREEN Event- Calling all GREEN Walkers!

End-Time is decided by each individual GREEN Walker

LOCATION:
The Village at Waugh Chapel Shopping Center (Meet in the parking lot along Rt. 3 in front of Damon's and Applebees Restaurants (Look for GREEN!)

ADDRESS:
Intersection of Waugh Chapel Rd. & Rt. 3, Gambrills, MD 21054

DESCRIPTION:
Support Walking GREEN and join me in cleaning up our neighborhoods, roads, woodlands, and waterways during Walking GREEN's Inaugural GREEN Event. Those who participate will become part of the Walking GREEN family and be named an official "GREEN Walker." GREEN Walkers will be responsible for picking up trash in the designated area for each specific event.

GREEN WALKERS "TO BRING" CHECK LIST:
-GREEN shirt (other GREEN attire is encouraged!
-Proper walking footwear (Avoid open toe footwear!)
-WATER!!!
-Gloves
-Trash Bags (Each GREEN Walker will have a "trash" bag & "recycling" bag)
-Hand Sanitizer or Sand Hanitizer
-Sun Screen
-Snacks & Sack Lunch (I am all about food, so eating is essential after a GREEN walk)
*Bring anything else that you think you may need.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

SAFETY FIRST! This event will take place along the sides of Rt. 3 & in the median; however, the median is extremely wide. All children must be supervised by an adult. Walking GREEN is not responsible for your safety. Each individual is responsible for their own actions.

DISPOSAL & RECYCLING-Each GREEN Walker is responsible for the trash they collect during a Walking GREEN event and will be trusted to dispose or recycle it appropriately, whether that be at home, county dump or recycling area. We must ALL do our part!

Possible Site Issue.

I drove by the site where the Inaugural GREEN event is going to take place and I was welcomed by grass that was at least 4 feet tall. This could definitely cause issues with my plans. I will check back over the next few weeks, but it did not look like PG County is really stressing over how tall the grass is getting. Possible plan B just in case...
